Volleyball Announces Time Change for Minnesota Match

With the Michigan State vs. Penn State football game slated to begin at 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 21, the Spartan volleyball match against Minnesota on has been tabbed as an 8 p.m. start time. This will help to allow those fans who wish to attend the volleyball match ample amount of time to arrive on campus following the conclusion of the football game. :: Full Release ::

vs. Ohio State - FAMILY FITNESS NIGHT

There will be six fitness educations set up throughout the gym. Visit three of the six stations and receive a free ticket to the Michigan match on Oct. 21.

Saturday, Oct. 17

vs. Penn State - SWEETEST DAY CELEBRATION

Chili's will be giving away dessert coupons to the first 500 fans in attendance. Also, the sophomore class will be available for autographs at the conclusion of the match.

Wednesday, Oct. 21

vs. Michigan - BUST BRESLIN

The first 500 fans will receive a free "Bust Breslin" t-shirt. Also, Michigan State Federal Credit Union members can show their membership card or debit/credit card, and receive free admission for the cardholder and a guest. Local high schools are encouraged to send their rosters to associate head coach Russ Carney (russcarney@ath.msu.edu), and those students who sign in at the door will receive free admission to the match.

Friday, Oct. 30

vs. Iowa - HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION

All fans who wear their Halloween costumes will receive free admission. Kids ages 13 and under are also eligible for the costume contest sponsored by Chili's.

Saturday, Oct. 31

vs. Wisconsin - HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION

All MSU students are encouraged to wear their costumes and enter the costume contest sponsored by Chili's. Also, the junior class will be available for autographs at the conclusion of the match.

Friday, Nov. 13

vs. Indiana - CANNED FOOD AND COAT NIGHT

Canned foods and coats will be collected all weekend to benefit EVE.

Saturday, Nov. 14

vs. Purdue - VETERAN APPRECIATION AND PARENT NIGHT

Canned foods and coats will be collected all weekend to benefit EVE. Veterans in attendance will receive free admission to the match. Also, the senior class will be available for autographs at the conclusion of the match.

Saturday, Nov. 21

vs. Minnesota - VOLLEY FOR A CURE AND SENIOR NIGHT

MSU Volleyball is working with the Mid-Michigan Susan G. Koman to help raise funds for breast cancer awareness. MSU is selling special t-shirts at all home matches for only $15 with all proceeds going to the local Komen for a Cure affiliate. Wear your t-shirt to this match, and receive free admission. Following the match, we will also recognize our two graduating seniors, Vanessa King and Mischelle Nelson.
