12/15/2011 Jenilee Rathje Named Second-Team Academic All-AmericanMichigan State volleyball senior Jenilee Rathje was selected to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-America Division I Volleyball Second Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday. Rathje, who was an honorable mention all-region choice last season, is the first Spartan since Ashley Schatzle in 2007 to be named to the 14-member team. 12/3/2011 Spartans Fall to No. 1 Texas, 3-0 in NCAA Second RoundThe Michigan State volleyball team's season came to an end on Saturday night, as the Spartans fell 3-0 (25-11, 25-18, 25-22) to No. 1 Texas in the NCAA Tournament Second Round. The Spartans end the season at 22-12 overall, the most wins by MSU since 1998. Senior Becca Zlabis led the Spartans with nine kills, surpassing 1,000 kills in her career during the evening. 12/2/2011 Spartans Top Arizona, 3-1; Advance to NCAA Second RoundThe Michigan State volleyball team overcame a first set loss to beat Arizona, 3-1 in the NCAA Tournament First Round in Austin, Texas.
