Jennifer Dhaenens begins her first season with the Spartan volleyball team in 2011 as Director of Volleyball Operations. Dhaenens brings with her a wealth of volleyball and administrative experience as she currently is the director with the Top Gun Volleyball Club and was a Division I assistant coach for 15 seasons. Dhaenens was a four-year letterwinner as an outside hitter at the University of Michigan (1982-85) prior to becoming an assistant at both U-M (1987-98) and Eastern Michigan University (1999-2001). Following her stints with both U-M and EMU, Dhaenens joined Top Gun in 2004, and has since helped it gain a reputation as an elite club that balances being competitive with having fun. Top Gun's U-16 team won the state AAU title in 2004. Dhaenens graduated from the University of Michigan in 1987 with a bachelor of fine arts degree. Jen and her husband, Jeff, have a son, Andrew, 20, and a daughter, Alexandra, 18, and reside in Howell, Mich. |
