Celebrate 2010

Carmen Jones enters her first full season with the Spartan volleyball team as Director of Volleyball Operations. Jones brings with her more than 15 years of sales, marketing and operations management experience to the volleyball staff. Jones joined the Michigan State volleyball program last season in a volunteer capacity as a manager, before being named interim Director of Volleyball Operations midway through the season. Upon moving to the East Lansing area three years ago, she quickly involved herself in the local volleyball community by coaching at the local high school then serving as assistant coach at Lansing Community College in 2007. She worked two years as the Lakeshore USAV Tournament Coordinator, is currently assistant director of Lansing Area Volleyball Association, a local volleyball club, and continues to work with local area youth volleyball teams. She is approaching her 30th anniversary to retired Army vet, Mick, and resides in Grand Ledge with son Kile (17). The couple also has a son, Nathan (28), and a daughter, Teresa (22), as well as three grandchildren, Trent (8), Zachary (7) and Emily (6), all whom currently reside in Seattle, Wash. |
