Tami Tranter, a 1998 graduate of Wayne State University with a degree in business administration and finance, is in the middle of her second season as the Director of Volleyball Operations at MSU. Tranter also earned her graduate degree from Michigan State in kinesiology, sports administration and coaching in 2004 and is currently pursuing her doctorate degree at MSU. She was the head volleyball coach at Olivet College for four seasons (2001-04) and an assistant coach at the University of Findlay for one year (2006). After her stint at Findlay, Tranter served as the volunteer assistant coach at Michigan State until she took over the Director of Volleyball Operations position at the onset of the 2007 season.
Tranter is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association and currently resides in Lansing.
