MSU Volleyball Dumps Minnesota
EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State continued a solid weekend of volleyball with a convincing 15-1, 15-3, 15-8 victory over the University of Minnesota on Saturday night in Jenison Field House. Minnesota's 12-point total was the fewest points MSU has held an opponent to all season.
Jenna Wrobel continued her stellar performances with a match-high 22 kills. She had 19 attempts with 13 kills through the first two games before finally making an error on her 20th attempt. Veronica Morales ended the weekend with only one error in two matches, including 15 kills on Saturday. Setter Vicki Basil had her best performance as a Spartan with 46 assists, eight digs and three blocks. Jessica Sanborn continues to be a force on the nets with seven blocks. She also had nine digs and three kills. Three Spartans hit .400 or better. Morales hit .483, Wrobel hit .425 and Lindsey Clayton hit .400 (eight kills).
