Spartans Lose in NCAA Second Round
LINCOLN, Neb. - Michigan State women's volleyball team ended it season Saturday with a second round loss to Nebraska, 7-15, 12-15, 4-15. The Spartans end the year 23-12.
Jenna Wrobel led the way for the Spartans with 14 kills. But she was the lone offensive spark for MSU as it hit just .147.
Nebraska was led by Mandy Monson and Lisa Reitman, who had 11 and 13 kills, respectively. The cornhuskers blocked 10 shots (versus 5 MSU blocks) and hit .362. Monson and Angie Oxley both had 10 digs for the Huskers, who finished strong with a game three that saw just one error and a hitting percentage of .531.
