Cathy George on Kelsay: "We are really excited to have landed Kristen as a Michigan State Spartan. Kristen will give us the option of diversifying our offense, as she will enable us the option of running either the 6-2 or the 5-1 offense. We expect her to come in right away and compete for the starting role, and solidify the position for future. She arrives as a highly recruited setter and she is a student of the game. She is very intelligent both on and off the court as she plans to enroll immediately in the honors program here at MSU. She is a very consistent and reliable setter, and her skill level is very superior. Her tempo and placement of the ball is very reliable. Kristen has consistently played at a high level and has been challenged. We look for her use that experience to help us as we head into the 2010 season. We aren't the only ones who are excited for her to arrive, but as well as the Honors College as she will participate in its Professorial Assistantship program." Kelsay on MSU: "I chose Michigan State University because it is a perfect fit for me. With the outstanding volleyball program, academics, teammates, and coaches, I knew I wanted to be a Spartan. I am excited to play in the Big Ten and represent Michigan State." |
