EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State volleyball head coach Cathy George has announced the addition of Jennifer Dhaenens as MSU's Director of Volleyball Operations. Dhaenens brings with her a wealth of volleyball and administrative experience as she currently is the director with the Top Gun Volleyball Club and was a Division I assistant coach for 15 seasons.

"Jen is a wonderful addition to our staff at Michigan State." said George. "She brings with her a great deal of volleyball and managerial experience as a former assistant coach and director of Top Gun Volleyball Club. We are excited to incorporate her many innovative ideas to help the Spartan program continue its success both on and off the court."

Dhaenens was a four-year letterwinner as an outside hitter at the University of Michigan (1982-85) prior to becoming an assistant at both U-M (1987-98) and Eastern Michigan University (1999-2001).

Following her stints with both U-M and EMU, Dhaenens joined Top Gun in 2004, and has since helped it gain a reputation as an elite club that balances being competitive with having fun. Top Gun's U-16 team won the state AAU title in 2004.

Dhaenens graduated from the University of Michigan in 1987 with a bachelor of fine arts degree.

Jen and her husband, Jeff, have a son, Andrew, 20, and a daughter, Alexandra, 18, and reside in Howell, Mich.
